Want a S'mores Milk Shake?!

So I saw recipe for Toasted Marshmallow Milk Shakes and I was like ZONG!! WANT! So I got the ice cream and I already had Marshmallows... then I was thinking... Hmmm... I have Graham crackers and chocolate too... I'mma make these S'mores Shakes!

So I toasted the Marshmallows under the broiler...

Let them cool a little and got the rest of my ingredients together... I  smashed up some Graham crackers and cut up and melted the chocolate a little in the microwave.

Threw it all in the blender with a little milk and a few scoops of ice cream.
BLEEEEND!

YUUUUM!!!

Aaaaand here are my Littles enjoying it!

Mmm... Bread!

So I took the pulp from some juice I made the other day, pureed it, and put it in the fridge!  Today I made bread with it! I just followed a banana bread recipe and tweaked it a bit! I used 1/2 of the amount of white sugar and used brown sugar for the other 1/2. I added some oats, in place of some of the flour (It called for 1 1/2 cups flour, I put one cup and 1/2 a cup of oats) Then I made a topping out of a little flour, some more oats, brown sugar and melted butter, and spread it over the top! Popped it in the oven for an hour and Viola!

Look! One of the pics I took, the butter melting looks like a heart! Ha ha!

Later tonight or tomorrow (probably tomorrow) I'm going to bake some sugar cookies and boil some eggs to decorate with the kids!! WoooP! I love holidays! Oh and I'll be baking a cake Friday night to decorate a cake Saturday (Sometime between my daughters Ballet class, grocery shopping at 2 stores, cleaning up the kitchen.... and putting my Littles Easter baskets together!)  for Easter brunch!

Deceptively Delicious!

Soo... Because I'm a huge dork, I'm going to write this entry over a couple days! I want to try a few recipes before I brag about this awesome book!!

4/12/11
Have you guys heard of this book?? (By Jessica Seinfeld)

Basically you puree a bunch of veggies and fruits (I didn't do any fruits, because my Littles LOVE fruit and have no problems eating them) then freeze them until you need them and hide it in different recipes! I already did this with some things, like my pasta sauce, I puree Zucchini and Squash into it and they LOVE that! You can check that recipe out here if you want! ;-) (I just tried the link... I guess you need to have a FB account (even though I made it viewable for Everyone) to see it... Buut... Who doesn't have a FB account?? lol)

So anyway I made all the puree's I needed and this is the first week I've started to use them!
Last night when I made chicken tenders (with corn flakes! YUM!) , instead of putting the chicken in ranch (before shaking the pieces in a zip lock bag of the Corn Flakes) like normal, I used some pureed cauliflower and buttermilk, and some seasonings! It came out great, and no one noticed a difference!

Then I made Dessert!! Chocolate Pudding with Avocado Puree! I've never tried Avocado so I was a bit nervous, but it tasted delicious!!! Seriously... probably the best pudding I've ever had!
My picky daughter loved it....
My son loved it...
Really loved it....

Seriously... This kid hasn't made this much of a mess with ANY food since he was like a year old!! (He'll be 3 in July)
He LOVED this!!

Caidy in the background scraping as much as she could out of the bowl.... lol

Tonight I'm making Quesadillas, with butternut squash!!  Hopefully everyone loves them!!

So the Quesadillas were pretty good!! (I wish I had the salsa in a cute little bowl... But I don't have any... :( lol So it was just plopped on the plate.)

OK I have to say that I HATE squash, so go me for actually putting the squash on mine and eating it! I hardly noticed it! Caidy and Geoff (hubbie) ate it, and I don't think either of them noticed it either! (Geoff loves squash though!)  Gavin didn't really eat much... I don't think he liked the Tortillas. He's usually a very good eater!

Tonight I'm making Mac and Cheese with Cauliflower! My kids LOVE Mac and Cheese so I know they'll both eat this with no problems!

I can't wait to try all the recipes in this book! I've been letting Caidy go through it and pick out what she wants for supper! (Every recipe has a picture!) Tomorrow we're having Cheeseburgers with either pureed carrot or Zucchini and Mushroom! Not sure which one I want to make yet!

OK, I'm done going on and on about this book now! *Happy Dance*  If you have picky little eaters, I highly suggest this book!! (Oh and when I got it in the mail I was very surprised to see that it was a hard cover book, since I only paid about 10 bucks (with shipping) for it!!)

Carrot Cake!!

OK I made this cake last week for a friends Birthday! I had so much fun with it!!

Devils Food Cake with Peanut Butter Butter Cream!!

                                                     *Pop*

The green stuff is edible Easter Grass!

Aaaaand....  Here's the Birthday boy (and his wifey!) We had gone out to dinner and a movie and I had my little 12 year old cousin who babysat my Littles, decorate the Den while we were out!
I bought that ridiculously large hat at the dollar store and told him he had to wear it... He had a pin on that said "It's My Fucking Birthday!", so the hat was pretty hilarious with it! Ha ha!!
